UK Strike Action on 30 November | 11:26 PM GMT, November 27, 2011

UK public sector employee unions are planning strike action on Wednesday, 30 November 2011. As staff from the UK Border Agency will be involved, the Agency's ability to support normal operations at UK airports, including London Heathrow Airport, will be significantly impacted.

As such, travelers travelling to and from the UK during this period are advised that they are likely to experience lengthy delays through passport control. There is a significant risk that arriving passengers may have to be held on arriving aircraft due to the airports not being able to clear passengers through passport control in time.

We recommend CWT travelers to review their travel plans where possible to avert arriving and departing UK on 30 November unless absolutely necessary.
